City: Paleto Bay
Time: Night
Weather: Foggy
It has been said that the city of Paleto Bay has a few unexplained phenomenons that have been reported. One of the oddest reported phenomenons was during a foggy Friday night.
It had just finished storming, the rain had parted and the night fell over the town of Paleto Bay. An officer on duty (only to be known as Unit 913) was returning to the police station in Paleto Bay when a strange sound caught his attention.
He radioed to dispatch to see if any calls came in reporting any “unusual” sounds. Dispatch responded in saying, “Negative 913, the board has been quiet tonight.”
As the officer pulled into the police station, the sound started again, and appeared to get closer at a very high rate. The officer shut off his vehicle, and opened the door to get a better listen.
The officer heard the sound increase in volume quickly, and then fade off into the distance. After talking to the dispatch agent on duty, the officer described the sound as being very high pitched, almost like the sound a deer would make, but it then immediately faded away.
This went on for several nights, but no trace of the source of the sound was ever found. On the last night, several calls came into the Paleto Bay 911 dispatch board, all of them describing the exact same thing Unit 913 had heard. Each caller said that the sound “appeared out of thin air” and then quickly “vanished”.
The footage obtained of this was recorded from Unit 913 and is still under investigation. Since then, no other reports of what has now been dubbed “The Phantom Deer” have been reported.
